How to use Head Down Trainers

Getting Started   Removable Training Inserts

Be sure the inside lenses of your Head Down Trainers are clean and dry.

Head Down Trainers come with two sets of removable, custom static cling inserts that you can use over-and-over again for training. The inserts will screen an incoming ball unless you keep your eyes on the ball until it is in your glove. Practice with the large inserts until you feel confident— then use the Head Down Drills Training Program each day.Head Down Trainers come with two sets of removable, vision guiders that you can use over-and-over again for training.     Next, have someone throw SLOW grounders to your right and left. Again, do this until you catch 9 out of 10.

Next, mix them up—some to the right, left and right at
you. Do this until you catch 9-out-of-10.

Next, as your confidence builds, have someone throw
balls waist high, with the same repetitions—left, right
and up the middle.

Remember, SLOW balls ONLY in the beginning.
Gradually, after a week or so, if you aren’t missing any
slow balls, have someone throw harder—again, to the
right, left and up the middle.

In time, when you feel confident that you are seeing the
ball into your glove every time, begin using the Head Down Drills Training Program.
